Dahlin is the technical mind behind Belay. Dahlin saw how the combination of financial planning and accounting, with no division between them, could benefit everyone. Dahlin dedicated himself to the professional education to achieve his CFP and CPA designations. He eventually obtained licenses to run both an accounting firm & a financial planning firm – one of the first in Canada to do so.
Since 2011, Dahlin has been perfecting the holistic financial planning approach, and has built these bones into Belay. He’s excited about Belay’s unique ability to offer clients and advisors access to this cutting-edge business model, creating a win-win-win situation
When not working, Dahlin enjoys spending quality adventure time with his wife and three young boys water skiing, rock climbing, and helping out at their local church.
“The key to finance is educating yourself on how money can work for you.”

As president, Shannon is the heart of Belay. She showed Dahlin the importance of a cohesive financial plan and how it was the best choice for the clients she cared so much about. It was this care and deep sense of compassion which drove her to find new ways to help them, including obtaining her CFP designation.
For 26 years Shannon has been living out her passion by helping her clients get their finances in healthy working order. She is now turning her attention to Belay and its mission of enabling passionate financial planners serve their clients without conflicts or undue pressure.
When not helping people reach their financial goals, Shannon enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and helping at her local church.
"You should be able to count on your dealership for prompt, consistent support."
Lynnette has been a leading figure pushing Canada's fund industry to innovate its processes to provide better support for clients and advisors, and to reduce operating costs to the benefit of all. She brings that same innovation mindset to Belay.
As Belay's Chief Operating Officer, Lynnette is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Dealership, including the trading, client management, and client reporting systems. These systems are the core of Belay's offering to advisors which, in turn, allows advisors to focus on adding value in their relationships with their clients rather than having to be concerned about back-office details. Lynnette has over 18 years' experience managing complex systems and has been involved through Fundserv and some of its key committees for over a decade. She has developed direct working relationships with the mutual fund companies to help ensure smooth trades execution and prompt resolution of issues when necessary.
"Both advisors and clients benefit from a strong, stable firm that emphasizes ethics and the client's interests."
